My 2020 disappeared into a black hole for 6 weeks after being built. It finally went to shipped. The GM nor I never got an explanation as to why.

My 2020 disappeared into a black hole for 6 weeks after being built. It finally went to shipped. The GM nor I never got an explanation as to why.

Once the car has been released for shipment, it goes to the shipping lot and sits there until the shipper accepts and receives the car for shipment. This could take a while depending on how many cars are sitting in the lot, more cars equal a better chance that it will get shipped.

Ford has limited control or the car once it has has been received for shipment.

Here is an explanations of the status' after the car has been produced.

Awaiting Shipment - Released
The vehicle has been released from the plant to a carrier and is awaiting shipment.

Awaiting Shipment - Received
The vehicle has been received by a carrier at a ramp location. The yard location may display. The carrier name displays in parenthesis.

In Transit - Shipped Convoy
The vehicle has been shipped from the plant via convoy. The convoy number may or may not display. The carrier name displays in parenthesis.

In Transit - Shipped Rail
The vehicle has been shipped from the plant via rail. The railcar number displays. The carrier name displays in parenthesis.

Wow. That’s a long time to sit at the yard.

The car got trucked over to the railyard in New Boston, MI and is waiting to get loaded into to railcar. The problem with New Boston is that it may take some time to get enough cars to fully load a railcar, the railcars hold 16 cars.

Hoping to hear something soon! Im still at the starting gate and couldn't imagine knowing its built and just sitting there.

Just hang in there! Alot of us would kill to be in your shoes knowing at least my car is built…. instead Im just wishing for a build date and Vin lol.
