ADMs are a joke. When this market settles out a lot of GT500 owners are going to be underwater and will hope in time the value of their cars appreciates.
GT500s will only appreciate. Last true V8. Everything moving to hybrid or electric

In time yes. But god forbid an owner gets it totaled or stolen the ins will pay market and when you pay a $25k ADM will ins pay that? Also regardless if the market settles out the poor owner is still left hold the bag. Unless you have money to burn paying $25k ADM on a GT500 is nuts. Porsche’s dealers are offering new GT4s which are super rare with $25k ADMs. You know GT4s will appreciate much quicker than the GT500.

Most of us have “stated value” insurance policies that pay whatever we state the car is worth. If the car is a daily driver, that’s a different story.

Few more from today's delivery. Hardly needs to be said but amazing driving experience in the little time I've had it. Nothing really to compare it to, but I keep going back to "American rwd GT-R." The Tremec is very PDK-like and seemingly unmatched, driving position: ace, steering feel: on point, exhaust note: exquisite. More to come...

What chassis number is the factory up to so far? Also, any ideas on how many gt500 cars can be built in a week with everything going smoothly?

Interestingly enough, we discussed that. He specifically said that the car would be sent in an enclosed trailer, unlike the other cars he receives. Was very confident it would appear asap after June 14th, within weeks if not days he said. We shall see.

Also said he wanted to discuss in detail later this month how I want it prepped for delivery or not. Isn't going to automatically unwrap it and clean it, etc, which I appreciate.

Said they usually fill up the tank of gas at the gas station for new car sales, but will not let anyone drive this special car to it, so he'll give me a full tank "credit".

I asked if he still has his other allocation available. Told me it went in February to another dealership/purchaser for 25k over. I guess sales reps from other dealers purchase the allocations pre order?
I understand that the Ford GT's are routinely delivered in enclosed transporters via a company called Reliable Carriers but I haven't heard of any Mustang's receiving this treatment. Are you saying that Ford is delivering your GT500 to your dealership via an enclosed transporter?

Yep this is the thought I had as well, then I remembered our cars are faster, handle better, look better, sound better, and are cheaper than GTRs! Grats on the new ride!

Highest chassis number I’ve seen posted so far was #374 delivered earlier this week. (Produced ~5/16-24)

Thanks! Both are a lot of fun. GTR was a different experience altogether with the way its awd system was dialed in; the weight actually did it favors. Had an Armytrix exhaust as well. Quite a unique experience, but the GT500 certainly surpasses it for me in all aspects!

No... I'm saying that the sales rep I ordered the car through told me that. I hope it happens that way. Time will tell. I'll definitely post how it happens regardless. He seemed pretty confident and matter of fact about it like it's happened before. I don't want to hate on the guy.... yet 😉
