To each their own but yeah not digging the red stripes. Like the blue but it looks a bit darker than every grabber blue pic I have seen prior.

Sheesh that photo if legit destroyed that grabber blue GT500 with those hideous red stripes. That doesn’t look like grabber blue, more like velocity blue, but no matter what blue

I'm new to this but when you say you secured an allocation do you mean you took delivery or submitted the order? I guess when does one know its a done deal outside of taking delivery?
Dealers have to have an allocation to order the car. They can submit an order but until it is allocated the car won't be built. The dealer will know when the car is allocated, some get allocations and submit the order. If a customer wants to change options they are free to do so until the car is scheduled, at that point it is locked in.

I gave up on calling my GM. I will just wait for the call and hopefully be very happy when I get it.

We're going to be seeing a lot of interesting painted stripe combos. The order guide shows these painted stripe options for 2022 and the configurator allows it. Even though we know the configurator is whacked. Code Orange, Grabber Blue, Carbonized Gray and Wimbledon White stripes on a lot of the cars. So you'll see Grabber Blue Stripes on mischievous purple car....a race red car 🤔

Does adding or removing packages to an order causes a delay on your custom order? Does it move you to the back of queue entirely? (Assuming there’s not a material hold and VIN has not been issued)

To my knowledge it does not under normal circumstances. With that said, if they don't have something needed for production I could see a hold. This happens across the board though. Superduty trucks are a good example, trucks that had lane keep assist and proximity cruise were held up due to their specific modules, I would assume the mustang would be no different.

I officially went from build week 4/18 to build day 4/20.

Believe that actually happened today.
update for me this morning. initially build week was 4/18. then build week got moved up to 4/11. then got assigned build day of 4/13. now build day is 4/12. hey i'll take it.

also, VIP buddy of mine who is getting a HE CFTP was initially 3/21 build week. he is now 4/4 build week. so he got bumped down but apparently everyone did for those very early builds.
