yeah totally strange bc i have never seen that car around our streets and the one time i do is when my 500 is delivering. he actually stopped (off camera) and was looking hard to see what was in the transport. thanks.

I was on an unscheduled material hold last Friday with a 21 priority code. July 1st, I have a vin number and a build date of August 15. I had been calling the dealer, who’s a friend every week. It took about three weeks after the rep told the dealer they would be getting one allocation.

They are not retooling for ‘23. There are still 22’s scheduled to be built in August & likely more to be scheduled for Sept/Oct

They are just doing a standard summer shutdown. If they are retooling it's standard maintenance not a changeover as my car is currently at the start of production.

Greetings all. Looks like I have a GT 500 on the way, the story starts this past winter. I have a really good relationship with a small, local Ford dealer. Sometime in Jan I had asked the sales manager what the chances were for a GT 500 - He laughed.. I asked about a Mach 1 and his response was "possible but don't hold your breath". Fast forward to late Feb, I get a call from the manager telling me that, totally out of the blue they received an allocation for a std GT 500. They were going to order it whether I wanted it or not, as they had a standing offer for 10k over sticker from a dealer in California, but if I wanted input on options it had to happen within 24 hours. Fast forward to today, My GT 500 was cleared for shipment as of June 23, anticipated delivery around 11 July. Eruption Green, White vinyl stripes, technology package and yes $5000 adm. Glad to be part of the group.

It's been said above, but to make sure it's clear.
Weeks July 4 & July 11 will have no cars built due to "shutdown" it's basically a 2 week vacation for the plant.
MY22 Mustangs will be produced until November 23rd 2022.
So as of this message, there are 11.5 weeks of scheduling left for MY22 orders, Ford as currently not announced when the MY22 order banks will close.
On MY23:
Order bank opens Sept 24th 2022
Scheduling begins on October 20 2022
Production begins on November 28th 2022
MY23 order guide is usually releases close to order banks opening, so assume sept. (Not assuming we'll have a GT500 for MY23, but for some of the folks here, we can have hope.)

Is there any way of telling how many Shelbys have been built so far. What’s the normal number built each year

as far as I know even the 2020 MY production numbers aren't yet revealed.

Just under 6000 in ‘20, just under 5000 in ‘21, as of 6/14 1150 (confirmed) to date this year. Guessing a few more hundred since then. So maybe 1500 (+/- 200) by the time they started their 2 week break this week.
*unless otherwise noted, all above estimates based upon reported chassis numbers online.
