2022 ecoboost rough running

couple weeks ago I filled the tank. Driving away from the gas station, engine wanted to die at idle a couple times while sitting at a stop light. Cleared up and has been fine.

Today I refilled again. Engine wants to die at idle. I turned on the A/F gauge in the cluster and it is going very rich before it starts to stumble. Did this probably a dozen times, has cleared up now.

Any ideas?

probably a purge valve which vents the gas tank into the intake. they are known to fail

Agree with purge valve since it happens after fill up

mine is going bad too, it doesnt stumble yet, but it pops on decel after a fillup.

It is definitely the purge valve. 100%
This exact same thing happened with my 2020 EB work car. It was replaced under warranty but now, 50k+ miles later, after I fill up (I do not top it off) it will for a few miles do a momentary bog at idle. Maybe mine is on its way out again,, who knows.

Backing the EVAP purge valve. Once replaced only fill to the first shut off to avoid recurrence.
