  1. tire noise

No, the tires are wearing perfectly.
  2. tire noise

22 Ecoboost premium, all stock. Sold my GT, kept the Ecoboost. I drive the ecoboost a lot more; I like it better too for a daily. Anyway it has the stock goodyear tires that came on it, got about 17,000 miles. Rotated at 7500 and just did it on the last oil change. These tires are LOUD...
  3. rattle

update and a fix. Called dealer and they were backed up. It was time for an oil change anyway so I pulled it up on my lift and did that. While under it I started looking at stuff. Exhaust had a rattle. Behind the transmission the exhaust system has a rubber hanger. The rubber hanger's...
  4. Tired of hearing about the Voodoo sound

the old FE's, particularly well-built FE's do have a sound all their own. The Mopar RB-based engines are similar, can hear one a mile away. They both have their own sound. If you spend much time around them you know, if you haven't you don't know. A big block chevy based anything, they all...
  5. rattle

a drive shaft sticker would rattle while in motion only. Mine does it sitting still, in gear with zero movement. I'd have it on the lift right now if the lift was freed up....you outta see my shop. FULL (customer's stuff). does not make any difference if the park brake is on or off. I leave...
  6. rattle

Driving me crazy. I cannot for the life of me find this rattle. 22 ecoboost A10 premium. At idle in gear only, rattle sounds like under the car. More of a low pitch rattle, as if something were hitting the floorboard. Yet, I get under it and can't see or hear anything rattling. ONLY at low...
  7. I hate Trucks!

I feel the pain. I ordered my new ecoboost in April of 2022, it finally arrived in October. To say I was anxious was an understatement. I've been mostly happy with the car, particularly MPG. That's why I bought it. Within the first 2 days of ownership it had 4 rock pecks in the windshield...
  8. Anybody ever watch TV auctions and get tempted to trade your Mustang for a classic muscle car?

I have a small collection of "classics" (some of us call them old cars, some of us call them a collection some of us call them junk). They can't be replaced and often can't be repaired either. Hence, I do not drive them much. The day will come when they'll have to go away, and it may be...
  9. Is MagneRide a must have?

One thing worth mentioning is the replacement cost. Non magneride struts typically come in about $120 each (rear anyway), with the MR struts being about 3x that. Each. sometimes that's not an issue. But I keep my cars longer than most people do and that stuff IS an issue worth thinking about.
  10. windows up

22 Mustang ecoboost premium. I can roll the windows down remotely from the fob, but not back up. I like to leave them cracked during the summer while parked at work, helps let the heat out. But occasionally a shower or thunderstorm will pop up out of nowhere with little warning, and I gotta...
  11. Big insurance increase (State Farm)--anyone else?

in my area liability coverage is the highest. Comp & collision are cheap in comparison. Liability only on my antique is $238/year. Comp & collision are an extra $71. The ecoboost is similar but a little higher $$$ on both points, liability is the most expensive of the two. By far.
  12. 10R80 is no PDK

Compare it to earlier Mustangs. It's pretty good in comparison Ever drove one with a stock C4? And we griped about the T5 breaking all the time. And A4LD's puking the front seals. And the 4R70's and AODE's being sluggish. Can't please nobody.
  13. Big insurance increase (State Farm)--anyone else?

What's a new car cost? Average $48,000? Teslas in different trims can be close to $200,000. And they are everywhere. New F-150's can be up to and over $70,000 Silverados, $70,000-$110,000, depending on the trim. body shops charge out the nose to fix them, costs for everyone keep going up...
  14. Buying new car cash: Dealer wants a credit check/financing application?

Federal. They make you fill out some paperwork if the cash amount is over $10,000. Form 8300. Cash has a definition too, and some types of payments are not legally considered "cash", thus avoiding the paperwork. cash does not include personal checks written in the name of the person who...
  15. Car Insurance

went through all of this with my old fox body. Some companies want it garaged (fine-I do that anyway). Some have mileage restrictions. One said 500 miles a year max. My goodness I drive that much in a weekend. So in order to keep that type policy up to "par" I'd have to buy a trailer, HAUL...
  16. Which Car(s) do you regret getting rid off

Have owned 7 of them. 5 were junk/parts cars. One 86, leather. Interior was trashed as most leather XR's are. Other 86 (red) cloth, perfect condition. I T5 swapped the white one and left the T9 in the red one. White one was a C3 for a while, which sucked. Red one remained bone stock...
  17. As many have predicted…

the craziness in the markets also creates opportunities. Just keep that in mind.
  18. Challenger outsold Mustang again. Worst Mustang sales ever.

challengers had higher sales numbers. That's known. Dodge (or whatever it's called now) will use that to their advantage. "We outsold the Mustang", yet they don't say why. Maybe they sourced some really dirt cheap garbage parts for the electronics, or body parts, or whatever--when Ford stuck...
  19. Ecobust Analysis

whole lot of misinformation and speculation in this thread. i wonder what ford's warranty team and engineering team might offer to this discussion.?
  20. Price Protection. Did you get yours?

yeah it's the ONLY reason I held out they honored the pricing from April at the time I ordered it, and the interest rate. 2022 ecboost 200A only option is B&O. MSRP at the time I ordered was 34,140. I got some discount off of that and ended up in the 33 range. Plus 1.9%. I couldn't not get...
