Thought about Tuning? Seems like the ECU is on lock so nobody will be able to tune Big Boy power. This might be a game ender for me since I have a D1x Procharger and a Fuel system already waiting for it.

[EDITed out the Oil pump talk since tuning it the most important thing for me.]

The oil pumps are the same as they have been and not belt driven.

Not sure about the ECU. If true, that is a big deal.

I have a tune through Livernois and it is awesome.

Are you tuned for E85 or have a Blower?
Livernois is still working on an E85 tune. I plan on using it as soon as it is completed. As of now I am just using their standard 91-93 tune.
EDIT: Granger ford already offers a whipple equiped Mach 1 so I assume they have a tune for it as well.

Also 2018 and newer Mustangs come stock with a secondary fuel rail and are both port and direct injected so flex fuel tunes don't require any additional hardware. The ECU isn't locked out but just has a new tuning strategy from what they were saying. This is probably just to accommodate the GT 350 parts that come on the motor.

I will need a tune at some point for long tubes. Seems to be a little more complicated than “the old days” with epa flexing their muscle against the aftermarket. I’m also not sure who to go with as there is no one local to me. I don’t want a tune that changes the driveability or risks long term engine health to squeak out a few extra horsepower. I just want the car to run correctly with headers accounted for and no check engine lights.

I called PBD after a guy in my group said they tuned '21's. They told me they have tuned a lot of '21's already and even done a few Mach1's. They can do 93 and E85 as usual.

Sounds like Lund is just dealing with other issues right now and are maybe pushing people to stay with '20 and older to keep customers. I have never had a problem with Lund but if they won't be able to tune my cars, I'll have to go somewhere else.

I know this comment will open me up to Yolo-wrath :) but I'm loyal to my car before a company. Personally Lund has been great from what I've dealt with them on my '16. They were nothing but understanding and great about my Delays.

You can't really go wrong with any of the big name tuners in our world. My 14 and last 18 GT were tuned by Lund and they were always easy to work with. Lund doesn't like tuning for the 18+ Roush blower cars so i recently went with PBD for it when i purchased this other 18GT. Great service from them as well.
