Ford GTs are awesome cars. They look incredible, etc. But for $749k there are other more superduper cars I'd buy over this. Ferrari SF90 + a C8 Z06, for example, or a McLaren 765LT (which will destroy the GT in every performance metric) + a 991 Turbo S + AMG GT-R, or a Ferrari 812 Superfast + Huracan Performante

I'm sure there's any number of combinations I could feasibly come up with...that said - sweet car!

Don't sweat it all the guys I know that were into the high dollar cars dumped them for classics. They were sick of every guy wanting pics and every civic wanting to race.

They spending it on trophy girls, boats and child support now LOL.

I'd kill to have a mint 67 Mustang or a 69 Camaro SS blue with white racing stripes.

He was a true car guy. Like you pointed out seeing one in real life is like a once in a lifetime event. Whenever anyone walking by commented on it he would show it off and let them sit in it. Made the day of a lot of little kids!

Yes, they are doing the ceramics on it now. Plans to share with the public on this one I'm told. Not many of these around are my guess. Ceramics take a week. Here is a pic of the other one. WOW

I love the car, but in a new world of $85K or less mid engine Corvettes, I fear it is rather pointless.

Just like the C8 is pointless in a world of GT350s that can be had for less than $50k.

There's always room for higher performance cars that are more fun, even if they cost a lot. The GT is worlds higher than the C8, even though the GT has been around much longer.

Come back when the C8 gets a hand made carbon fiber body and wins LeMans twice 50 years apart. Then it might be a closer comparison.

Not my thing, It isn't really a ford, It is a race car builder that screwed it together.
I'd rather the 2005-6 car. but I'd be driving the wheels off it, not worrying what it might hammer at crossing the block.
I buy 1:24th diecast for vehicles I look at and never use.

Ford GTs are proving to be decent investments, even short term. There's a 2019 that cost $630k on BAT that's pushing $1m. I wanted to buy a 2005 Heritage when they came out for $200k but couldn't raise the cash. They are selling for $600k now.
