2020 GT500's Scheduled For Production - Part 2

Dealer just told me my car should be at the dealership tonight or tomorrow, Now to get every ready and in high gear to get this car to me! Can't Wait!

So question, got an update from my dealer that my Shelby had left the factory last Monday after being built 7/22. What sort of timeframe should I expect for it to arrive at the dealership?

My car was “Shipped by Convoy” on July 23 and “Delay” on July 24 and has been in that status since as indicated on the Mustang tracking site. My Ford dealer pinged his area representative, but no news. Hard to understand as Flat Rock is about 300 miles from my dealer. I scratch my head and wonder how this happens. The wait continues.

For anyone in a similar situation as me:

My dealer just got an updated reply from his rep. The dealer had inquired several times to his rep about the status of my car. After the dealer’s ping to the rep on July 17, he submitted a request-for-ETA to the logistics team, along with a expedition request. The logistics team responded with an assigned shipped date of July 23 (status of car actually changed to “In Transit: Shipped - Convoy” status on July 23) with an ETA of July 25 for my car. The car went Into “In Transit: Delay” status on July 24. Today, August 3, after another ping from my dealer, the rep apprised my dealer that the car is “experiencing shipping delays due to COVID-19 issues. Unfortunately, there is no ETA at this time (per the logistics team).” The wait continues and hopefully not too many of the forum members are in the same boat. Thankfully my dealer is staying on top of the situation. It has taken about a year for this car while my Ford GT only took 8 weeks!

Mine was built/produced 7/2 the dealer should have it either today 8/3 or tomorrow 8/4. deduce what you will from that.

It depends on how aggressive your dealer is when the railcar arrives at the railyard. If he sits back and does nothing, it may take a while. Normally 8-14 days after the railcar starts rolling down the track.

They are NOT supposed to load the car up there!
Edit: GT500 are supposed to be bottom loaded at the rear. Theres even a sticker in the drivers window telling the truck driver that.

Finally got my vin! I ordered when the banks first opened and then the dealership got sold 4 months ago and they cancelled my order and refunded my deposit. I thought all hope was lost until forum member US HWY 666 hooked me up with a dealer that still had an allocation that I could spec! This forum and community is amazing and I really appreciate everyone here that looks out for one an other. Thanks again Dan for the hookup you are a stud sir!

Wow, never crossed my mind once when I looked at this lol. I remember seeing the sticker in other pictures posted. It traveled 2 plus hours up there from the railyard to my dealer

LOL really now? What I'd give..My friend would hate me for life, even though it wouldn't surprise him. God she's beautiful.
