You keep comparing GM’s base model new C8, when does a manufacturer ever release their higher end performance models with a new generation introduction? Never... the GT500 went 6 years without a successor?

After the 2014 GT500 went away, did you think the all new 2015 performance pack Mustang GT was the car all competitors claimed victory??? That they can now beat up on a lower model GT?

Honestly the fanboi mentality is real over here... the base model C8 is not trying to take down the GT500, just like it’s not trying to take down a C7 Z06/ZR1, ZLE, Turbo S Porsche etc.

It’s trying to attract buyers from Porsche Cayman/Boxster/911

I love how the guy lurked in the GT500 section for months before the car came out. Not once spewing any of his Chevy or die nonsense. Then when the Car comes out. He can stop himself. I would bet the zl1 and 1le will give it a run on the track, but we all know it will loose at the strip. The GT500 is more setup for that.
