Just bought a velocity blue 19 pp1 A10. I noticed on the window sticker it says the car has 3.55 gears. On the website of the ford dealership i purchased the car from the listing said it has 3.73 torsen gears. How can i check for sure what gears the car has? Im leaning more towards the window sticker being correct and not the dealers website. Any help is appreciated.

Start with telling us if it's auto or manual.

Generally, the auto PP cars have 3.55s, and the manual have 3.73s.

It has 3.55 since it's an auto. Does it matter to you ?

Thanks. No it doesn't really matter I was just curious to see if the window sticker was correct.

Both auto and manual performance pack have torsen differential (unlike 15-17 euro cars that technically had performance and auto transmission but had Ford clutch type LSD), just the gearing is different which shouldn't matter than much with 10A.

1st gear in the 10-speed automatic is so low (something like 4.7:1) that it doesn't need to have any help from big axle gears. Even 3.55's are probably a bit too 'deep' for WOT-in-1st on the street.

As a tangent question--some "base" (non-PP) cars with the A10 transmission have 3.55 gears as an option (mine does). I think the 3.55 option was something like $450, which seems like a lot unless it includes some content in addition to just a different ratio. Do all 3.55 cars get the Torsen diff? Or do the non-PP cars with 3.55 still get the clutch-based diff?

And, does the 3.55 gear option affect anything else (like the diff housing, axles, etc.)?

Non-PP cars regardless or gear ratio get Ford clutch-type diff. I had '15 non-PP with 3.55, it did not have Torsen.

Mine is 3.55 and it is stated on the sticker. My car is base, manual 6 speed and it does not say Torsen on the window sticker, just 3.55 limited slip, so it confirms it is the clutch type. The sticker will say Torsen if it is.

No 3.73 with the A10's. 3.73 is standard with the pp1 6 speed manual.

Look at rear diff... it has a sticker saying what you have.
