Ford performance said blend date is the target completion date. Considering my blend date was Tuesday, notice up awaiting transit was yesterday, and in transit today, that lines up.
Supposedly it only takes a couple of days to complete a car so the blend date is going to be real close to start and finish. My cars blend date was today and it should be finished tomorrow. Don’t know if Flat Rock is running 2 or 3 shifts right now. I would suspect 3 as they are trying to get the 19’s stocked up at the dealers right now.

The inventory manager where I ordered my car said stripes are done in the body shop as well as spoilers added there. I have the PP1 spoiler so maybe that’s all there is to it. A back up of cars in the body could have explained the 4 days. Is this on the new Bullitt?
I also discovered that what Ford refers to as the body shop is where the sheet metal components of the body are assembled, welded together and sealed prior to going to the paint shop. Today is my cars blend date, hence the first day of production (when the car is blended into the production line) so it makes sense that the body shop would be where the build is started and not an after the fact body shop repair due to a defect during the process. Well at least that makes me feel better that the car is probably not having damage fixed in the “body shop”.
I'd imagine the body shop would be where the body of the car comes together too lol

I doubt Ford runs into too much rework.
There is a part of the collection of buildings on the campus where the unibody structure is assembled. From there, it's sent to the paint shop, then lands in the final assembly area. For stripe and other add-ons, there is another building where the installation takes place, so the cars have to be moved from final assembly to there. That building is often called the body shop.

If there was sheet metal damage found at the end of final assembly, the cars are reworked in a holding area inside that building. On plant tours, I have seen cars there getting scratches, misalignments, or other issues fixed there. So long as everything is repaired before you get it, you are good to go.

I've been in the body assembly, final assembly, and body shop areas when I've toured Flat Rock three times previously.

Bottom line is your car will be ok. If not, then your dealer would be bound to correct it before you accept it.

Hopefully you’ll have it for Christmas
It should be around late Sept just based on dates and estimates I am seeing on here and other sites. That will give me time to pay off my truck and round up a nice big down payment.

Sweet. Does this mean Ford has given the ok to buy?
My dealer told me because there was no break in production (6/18 was the last production day for the 18 and the start of production for the 19) and no significant differences between an 18 and a 19, Ford was not waiting for the OK to buy prior to shipping.

I think regular 2019s are good to go. I think Bullitts are shipping soon but mine is just sitting for now. My EDD got pushed back from 7/3 to 7/6. Hopefully it still shows up next week. Shipping might be a little wonky with the holiday in the middle of the week.

And mine is back in 'awaiting shipment' status and no EDD.

Theory: Changing over from CSX to Union Pacific railways.

My estimate delivery date is today, yet it never left the awaiting shipment status.

With the shutdown next week, hoping to see cars start moving to "In Transit", as mine has been "Awaiting Shipment" for a week now. Seriously can't see 07/27 as EDD anymore. Still hoping for 08/03.

I think Ford Performance is a better source for updates than COTUS. They use the Ford Vehicle Visability access portal which provides more detail.
