2019 Mustang B&O subwoofer

Can someone advise how to remove the speaker trim ring on the B&O subwoofer. Prying it off seems like it will break with excessive force. Based on other posts that expose the enclosure without the trim ring, I see no way that it attaches, unless it attaches to the speaker itself.

Figured it out. It does pry off. You just need to be patient and work it slowly.

Might got scratched up from some parts I put in there... I thought about unbolting the unit to replace the housing... any tips would be helpful.
