Test drove a 2018 GT manual a couple nights ago and the clutch peddle was almost too soft, not much resistance, it took a while to get used to, and half as much effort as I'm used to, the shifter worked very nicely.I've heard from a few 18 owners that the clutch and shifter are easier and smoother to use now, so the Bullitt will benefit from those 2018 changes as well. I haven't driven one yet but I'm excited to try it. The clutch engagement is the only thing I don't love about my 2016 sometimes. Not very precise or easy to use compared to other modern manual clutches. I have no complaints with the shifter itself.
Sounds similar to the 6th gen Camaro clutch. A little weird at first for sure.Test drove a 2018 GT manual a couple nights ago and the clutch peddle was almost too soft, not much resistance, it took a while to get used to, and half as much effort as I'm used to, the shifter worked very nicely.
Gearing is taller in the 2018s. Both 5th and 6th are overdrive gears now. This is the reason some people are complaining that the manual 2018s without the performance pack actually feels a little slower off the line than the 15s-17s because they only have the 3.55s instead of 3.73s.So the 2018 3.73 1st gear goes to 50mph instead of the previous 3.73 cars 42mph? Is that because of higher redline alone or are the actual trans gears taller?
GT350 I drove like that. It had almost 0 weight at all, I could barely tell when the clutch was in or out.Test drove a 2018 GT manual a couple nights ago and the clutch peddle was almost too soft, not much resistance, it took a while to get used to, and half as much effort as I'm used to, the shifter worked very nicely.
From the above article...
The Getrag supplied MT-82, D4 or otherwise, has nothing to do with any Tremec supplied TR6060 transmission, last used by Ford on the '14 GT500.Referred to as MT82-D4, the latest incarnation of the six-speed manual developed from the Tremec TR-6060 promises to perform much better than its predecessor.
I doubt that as it would add a spoiler and different wheels.I just got the most recent issue of Motor Trend. There was a short article about the Bullitt. It sounds like there will be a PP2 option for the Bullitt.
With orders opening in 2 weeks, supposedly, I would hope that it has been nailed down already. They have had months.Maybe they are shooting some sort of debut media in San Francisco because they are close to finalizing pricing and production information.
