Sadly some Roush cars have gone barely faster than stock when heat soaked, so I could see a well-running Challenger being able to keep one at bay if they get the jump
it was a stock scat pack charger. I even had the hit on him and he reeled me in like i was a eco boost. It was annoying for sure

That sounds hilarious. When a scat gives me that look at a light I just dump the clutch and spin to 60. It keeps it close (for a sec) and then when I hook it's even more enjoyable. 🤣 the widebody was a necessity for dodge. I know those things are boats but unless ever az dodge driver is that bad, their traction issues are real.

I have the IC Chiller along with some other online Roush friends. I now experience ZERO heat soak. Look them up and give Charlie a try. They are a great company and will walk you through the process. The kit works and you don't have to hack up anything and can put it back to stock if you decide to. They supply everything you need. No lines to make or bend or anything. Its truly a plug and play kit.

I assume the ac needs recharging after install?

Yes you will need to do that. They taught me how to do it the proper way myself. I paid to have it done the first time but ended up redoing it myself.

Hey Mustang fam,

Wanted to describe my situation and ask if the route im going is the right one.

I live in Florida. It gets pretty hot here.
One evening a few weeks back I got what seems to be heat soak. The temps were high. There was no power to the blower in high speeds. Even got beat by a stock scat pack… mine is a pp1 premium with the roush phase 2.
A-lot of people are advising me to go chiller kit. I was very surprised when this happened and the mopar guy was aswell. I have noticed a few times the power not being there when im getting on it even after driving the car for only 10-15 min.

I have an option to purchase the IC chiller kit. People have been stating they are good and will get rid of my heat soak issues.

now my car doesnt have any other upgrades besides the supercharger and stock tune. I bought it like this and dont have a tuner etc.
it is a magnaride car aswell with stock suspension.

For the IC chiller people, has this fixed your issue? For 2k I am hesitant and want to make sure .

also any other things I should be planning to pick up besides the obvious drag wheels and tires?
I do have active exhaust so want to avoid obnoxiously loud headers and expensive ones.
Does Roush offer an updated intercooler or possibly an aftermarket company offer something?

Yeah I have the bypass as well with the stock Roush intercooler. The set up works great 👍

I ordered the Fi Interchiller, Stage 1. What temps are you getting with normal cruising? Even with a bigger heat exchanger with 2 fans (VMP) I'm 30-40f over ambient. Hoping the interchiller will make a big difference

I own a 2016 Roush Stage 3 Mustang.
Doesn’t the gage cluster on a Roush Mustang show the IAT2 temps as Cylinder head Temp?

These temps seem to be close to the water temperature.
