The trend is for shrinking the motors, not making them larger. Emissions, and CAFE, and all that jazz being what it is, after all.No, just saying since the current S550 has 302 cuin, maybe Ford will introduce a updated 427 which would eliminate the need to add turbo to attain the HP numbers of the competition.
I am not sure how much the current 302 platform has left
Don't like it, myself, but it is what it is. GM pulled all the stops to get that 6.2L to behave. Don't think GM has anything left in terms of efficiency gains on the motor. Cylinder deactivation was about the end of that list. I have to wonder if GM will start shrinking down displacement too, actually.
