That should be easy for Ford to do,as both cars look the same, the only difference is one is a 4 door,so the lights should fit perfectly into the Euro design.:ford:

This statement by csneed623 was at the comment section of Motor Trend's article about the 2018 Mustang.


"Saw the actual redesign in Vegas last month in a secret ford dealer meeting and it looks sweet. Horse power bump on all motors, quad pipes standard on GT with V8, LED headlights now instead of HID to match LED fog light, whole new wheel line up and more. Going to be sweet. Comes out next summer. Front and rear will be new. Mid cycle refresh with new transmissions also. They did not confirm which transmissions though"

Interesting for sure if it's true.

If true, my anxiety will kick in and i'll end up trading my 2012 for the 2018.

The 10 speed is a YES as an option. Hood is already obviously changed.

Other maybe's will be digital gauges like on the F-150 and magnetic ride.

It's getting a bit ridiculous, you add any more gears and it'll start feeling like a CVT :doh:.

I read somewhere on here that the 10 speed will act as a 6 speed when paddle shifting.

I can't remember where I read that the 10 speed will be offered only on high performance mustangs initially. Are they referring to the rumored Mach 1 and GT500 or the GT is getting a significant upgrade on its 5.0 and it needs the 10 speed to handle the power?:shrug:

I think you are on to something there.

Ford is phasing out the 6R80, and don't have another RWD transmission to replace it other than the A10.

It might be a phased introduction, or it might be all in one shot.
