Isn't this a bit late refresh. S650 will be coming out as a 2020 model probably in the fall of 2019. We still haven't seen a mach 1 or gt500. I would rather focus on those cars and the S650. I am hoping for a serious weight loss, 7 speed rev matching manual, magnetic ride control, and a serious power bump. Track pack gt as a separate option instead of performance pack.

2020 as a '21MY.

So, three years as is: '15/'16/'17
Three years post refresh: '18/'19/'20

Program code for the next‐generation Mustang (S550(ng)) has been changed to S650 and the SOP has been shifted back from January 2022 to May 2020. Subsequently, the EOP for the S550 has been moved to April 2020.

That would be quite scary considering the fact that they can't seem to put a rear window in straight.

That's a shame. The rear is the best part of the car. I adore the 3D taillights and it's one of the most unique parts of the car.
I agree, the plus side I doubt anything regarding its mounting will change. So if the 2018+ rustles the rest of your feathers you could always swap them.

Sounds excellent.

I guess it is too early to hope for a Harman sound system?

I've never been impressed with the HK systems. I've had them in a few vehicles, and they are lacking for what you pay.

Seems pretty even for a refresh. 5-6 years is pretty standard for the length of a vehicle generation.

I never understood the need for that. We spend so muchoney on exhaust, intaktes etc. that i for one couldnt care less about Harman. I rarely if ever used my Radio in the GT, i keep turning it Off and listening to the engine.

Still looking
If they put the Tremec 6060 in the refresh, I will completely make up my mind and buy a new 2018 when they come out next year!

Honestly, the MT-82 is the only reason I am still undecided on what to do next spring. Nothing looks better than the Mustang right now, not even close. I don't think a refresh will hurt that, but there are mechanical issues I am not sure I am ready to 'buy in to' at this point.

I'm just looking for an updgrade over the Shaker system.

I assume it will be an option, so you don't have to get one if you don't want one.

I've had 2 Harmon Kardon systems and 1 Bose in my previous cars.

One of the Harmon Kardon systems I left untouched. The other, I replaced speakers, added and amp a sub. The Bose I just replaced some speakers.

If it is half way decent in the Mustang, and better than the Shaker, that's one less mod you have to make. The last thing I want to do is tear apart the interior of a brand new car, as there are always the risk of rattles.

I'm sure that will trickle down since the GT350 already has it. Still baffles me that it wasn't there in the first place.
