I hope they do upgrade the gauges. My biggest qualm with my 15 are the gauges look so dated. The lack of a digital speedo was slightly annoying too.

I genuinely love the old analog type gauges with the airplane type script harkening back to the P51. I would be kind of sad if I had only digital gauges. Don't castrate me for this, but sometimes I want analog and not digital.

As you can see in the Picture, RPM and Speed is still analog, only the middle part, which always was a small screen, is now bigger and more useful (think about Navigation or finally a digital speedometer). So they are not using comepletely digital gauges like Audi, but a bigger digital screen like in the Camaro.

I was in a new 2017 F250 PowerStroke the other week. The dash info center is definitely much nicer than what we currently have. Something like that would be perfect for the refresh.

The large digital display flanked by 2 analog gauges is the way to go. Dodge's setup is very nice and it looks like Ford has it figured out as well.

Just give me a heads up display like in the 2017 Camaro!
Yes please!

I don't care too much about digital gauges. Its a mustang not a Prius.

I always prefer analog. You can see the value as well as the movement. It's not enough to know that you're going 55 mph at an instant, but also which direction and how quickly your speed is changing. You can't get that with a number.

I like the analog too. I would really like to see a digital representation of a dial/needle which very cool. For track mode the speedo could shrink down and the tach could come up big and in the center, with tire pressure, oil pressure, etc displayed. You could have a different display for each driving mode, with its relevant info.

It would have to be better than the ones currently available in the S550. Those are notchy and useless. Continuous, high resolution movement is necessary.

See Lexus LFA, any current Ferarri etc. The LFA had to use a digital tach because the engine revs so fast there was no mechanical tach that could keep up with it.
