I was assured by mantic that it can handle 1000hp, it is also fully rebuildable. It is a twin disc. That have a pretty good reputation I don't think one or 2 people having issues with it means they aren't good. I believe the early versions had issues. I just got a ford standard rebuild and I have another one at a local trans shop. I don't have enough saved to warrant sending my trans to calimer and paying 5gs for a rebuild plus the billet forks. Someday I will but I would be thinking of a th400 for that kind of $$$
