Got mine installed yesterday ! The only issue i had was the studs on these vents didn't have enough length for proper bolt engagement. I had to turn the washer upside down to make it work

Agreed that the studs are too short. These look great though! I installed mine a few weeks ago.

It rained yesterday after i put them on. And i noticed a lot of water puddling up on the vents, opened up the hood and the liner was wet. I guess there's water entering the engine bay when using these vents ?

The hole in the hood is unchanged, so I'm not sure. My car is driven on dry days only.

I have only ever noticed water pooling in the vents that are not open at the bottom. My engine bay gets the same amount of water as normal.

Where are you seeing it and how much because my stock vents also let in water.

I noticed water pooling on 2 closed vents at the bottom. Though I've never really checked the hold liner with stock vents, now i was curious so checked the liner around vent area; it was wet and damped. I also noticed some water on the radiator cover

The two closed vents will have water pool on top of them due to them being closed and the holes instead of being flat. Totally normal, at least for me. I've never reached up and felt the liner (but I would assume it would be wet if water was coming in). Water on the radiator was normal for me with the stock vents. Not sure about anyone else.

Thank you, nothing to worry about then :)

I looked online but couldn't see find an answer. Does anyone know how long these are from front to back? I got Roush hood vents, but am thinking of switching over to these. I'd like to see how much bigger they are than my Roush vents. Thanks

They are considerably longer. I'd say about 12" long total.

I ended up going with the MMD vents in gloss black. Looks better to my eye and could pass as OEM.

Looked in the MMD by Foose vent instructions and it does come with a grill, the original stock photos did not have any grill piece shown. Not sure if its any better than most options out there, The regular MMD version has a nicer factory honeycomb pattern, since the FOOSE version as a more complicated grill pattern, but more aggressive grill angle

I am thinking if MMD had made it just like the Foose version without the long center piece and used a honeycomb pattern, it would look pretty slick.

I decided to just order a MMD paint matched set, since AM has it deeply discounted currently at 52% off with free 3 day shipping. I guess is a deal for paint matched vents, So I will see how ingot silver comes out, since I heard it lacked a base or a primer color for some? No pressure cause can return to stock easily.

The ones I posted above ARE OEM
Yes, you are correct. I went to order a set of the Ford pieces in gloss black and was told they are on nationwide backorder. American Muscle is/was having a great sale on the pre-painted MMD units (non-Foose design) so I picked up a set of those. To my eye, the MMD units offer a cleaner look to the hood but still has the pop of black to tie the black accent package together. YMMV.

sorry guys, I don't like the look of any of these. I like the RTR one's the best, and I'm still on the fence about em, just look awkward on these hoods, all of em do.

They are interesting, not sold on the after market types my self. Here is the reason for me. Most look like black squares from every angle.

The stock looking from the front the car color is seen Then black vent are seen from the rear. I think that would help the looks a great deal.

In other words they are too prominent do not blend.

Air designs hood vents might offer them in a color match, I could be a customer.
