Maybe two and a half times. But who is measuring? The "gloss" and "matte" are definitely two different parts/colors. You can find the numbers earlier in this thread. They aren't as bold on my car because they are color matched. That said, they aren't subtle. The way I figure it, they are functional, and it is a sub 4 second car so why not go bold? This car is quicker than many of the exotics from my childhood that were slathered in scoops, vents, and louvers.

Would love to see that, thanks. Great point on the gloss black vs matte black. I see the Ford part number VJR3Z-16C630-D says "gloss black" but I have a feeling it means satin black. Does anyone know or can confirm?
Here’s the matte. Not my car but for reference. Also the code for the matte can be found in my previous post.

Another FYI, if you look at the pics I posted you can see that in the gloss version the three grills are separate plastic inserts that have a matte black finish. That means the bezel matches other black painted parts (like a painted roof) and the matte inserts match other injection molded trim like the bases of the mirrors and the side skirts.

For those interested here is what body match to a color that isn't black looks like. I have to say I wasn't sure how it would turn out but I am very happy. I love the look and hopefully this helps someone else who might be thinking the same. Took multiple photos and angles in different lighting. Let me know if you want to see something specific.

A little update in case anyone was curious about the center extractor being on a daily driver.
The car does actually run cooler, inlet temp and cylinder head temps have dropped
The engine noise is louder, which is a blast with my blow off valve and the Vortech whine. Scares people on the freeway when I let off the gas.. lol
The car steering is more stable and the car feels "heavier" on the front at speeds above 100. I was having an issue of front lift and light steering feel before
My biggest worry was the rain and not having a drip pan. My fears were unfounded. It has been raining in Southern California for 3 days straight and there has been no issues. I park the car outside, so it was hit with rain constantly,

Wow, thanks a lot for sharing! Matte on my 2018 Oxford White GT w/OEM black accent package would look amazing.

No drilling. 3M tape + two bolts.
They’re a bit pricey (in my opinion). American Muscle (https://www.americanmuscle.com/mp-concepts-mustang-hood-vents-gloss-black-406779.html) has MP Concept ones that I REALLY like as they’re more “OEM” but a tad larger than the stock ones. I mean 3M double stick tape is rather solid. Makes the thought of this purchase a little better knowing I don’t have to cut the hood. Thanks for the reply, I appreciate it!

That's a different style. It all depends what you want your car to look like. I think you are talking about a difference of about $50-$75.

I just priced it all out with the shipping and tax and such. It’s a difference of $72 - roughly. That certainly does it for me. Looks like I’ll be purchasing a set of those air designs!

Good pick but get whatever style you prefer! That's the best part of having a mustang, you make it yours.
