Anyone having problems with missing primer under the paint? 2018 GT Premium

Great question.Interested to know how you determined you had an issue.
Great question.
I discovered a scratch on the foot sill of the passenger side of the vehicle. It had already began to rust which lead me to believe this clearly happened prior to my purchasing the vehicle. So I took it back to the dealership.
The dealer attempted a quick fix but discovered the paint just continuing to flake away further and further around the area. They eventually did the "tape test" on the area and the paint came right off.![]()

You seriously have way too much free time on your hands.Try not to think about it as rust. In the antiques world it is called “patina” and that dark red colour raises the value as opposed to pieces that are shiny clean. Also: When the car is completely covered in “patina” the “patina” will actually protect the metal underneath it from the elements. Never try to clean “patina” off your car as its value is diminished at auction. Keep your car original. Another thoughtful tip from your friends at Ford!

Sorry you're having this issue OP. I've honestly never seen anything like that.
Do you or anyone have any ideas the best way to contact Ford about this? The dealership thinks this is an isolated spot and have already "repaired" the area. I call boshiIt’s called having free time before things ramp up again.
Seriously to the op. If it is not just localized, push for another car. An un-primed car even if repainted will flake and rust under all sorts of places and crevices. An unprimed car is a lemon pure and simple.
That car should be shipped back to the factory and presented at every shift’s 3 minute meeting as an example of how things need to be improved.

ThanksCrawl around the car and look for scratches in the paint and do the tape test. Or scratch an area in the engine bay and do the tape test. If it’s solid then wait and see. If not, videotape the test and start a case with Ford by calling them up. Others here know exactly how to proceed and the phone numbers, etc.
Look for the thread I posted in this forum regarding the “Ford 800#”. You must call that number to get a Case opened.Do you or anyone have any ideas the best way to contact Ford about this? The dealership thinks this is an isolated spot and have already "repaired" the area. I call boshi
