2018 gauge cluster retrofit

[MENTION=32917]p6cl[/MENTION] im assuming youll need to get the new buttons as well? like the ones with pony and moves mute into volume controls (dont have to move volume to left side like in an 18 tho?)?

I think we need all three buttons/switches, the 2018 has the volume on the left. Unless the asbuilt codes can mix and match. It was in the 724-03-01 line that would not program in the old 15-17 SCCM. Only four digits for the buttons to work like 2018 I believe. Mine were 1733 0000 79 for that row. Steering wheel wiring is unchanged. Also the buttons have a few extra buttons that do other things like (go back) in the lcd cluster.

I believe the new 2018 Mustang has automatic high beams if I am not mistaken.

Are you sure? How would auto high beams turn off if another car was coming in the opposite direction? That doesn't sound right...

There is a camera behind the rear view mirror, lots of cars have this and its been around for at least 10 years.

Ok auto high beam, but an indicator should still be present. Also, you can probably disable it and use it 'old style' manually.
I have seen this feature in a friend's bmw, and for my driving style it is no good.. the switching delay between high\low beam is too long and I don't like it

What the differences between the two Manual/Auto versions are, I can't tell right now, the Ford Parts website does not specify 5.0 vs 2.3 for these part numbers.

There is a camera behind the rear view mirror, lots of cars have this and its been around for at least 10 years.

Here is an updated video showing all the functions of the LCD Cluster. This was using the Navi button and the settings button along with the pony button as well.

The navigation displaying on the LCD makes this kind of intriguing. Getting an active exhaust and getting it to work with the cluster may actually seal the deal on this for me. Though, when I was going to swap my base to mycolor clusters, I called the title bureau and state police to see if it was OK to swap the clusters with exact mileage. When I specifically asked if I had to disclose the "odometer discrepancy" check box on my title, they said I would unless a dealer slapped their sticker on the door jam. Of course no dealer around me was willing to do this. So....I'm still reluctant, as I am not one to lie on my title.
