Is the cross traffic system fault message a glitch? I don't want to have any oddball warning messages when I complete mine. Also, ordered everything from Tasca and they cancelled my order for the SCCM portion because its backordered with no ETA. Probably just go local and place the order I guess.

He hasn’t configured his as built data yet. Once he configured it that went away. No odball warning messages!

The install seems intimidating but honestly it’s not very hard. Plenty of help here too! If you wait, you may start seeing them out of wrecked cars cheaper.

When you order it you give them your VIN and your current milage. They send you one that is pre-programed with your milage.

I wonder what keeps people honest with reporting accurate mileage. I think you should have to prove your mileage somehow.

I think they realize there are services that charge $150 to change your milage to whatever you want. If you're ordering a $1200 instrument cluster they realize you'll just spend $150 to have someone change it if you have to. Better they set it at the milage you tell them rather then send it to you with 0 miles.

Plus when a dealer orders one I don't think Ford knows what its for more then the VIN of the car. Could be a warranty replacement. This has been the procedure for ordering an instrument cluster from them for years.

If someone has access to a Ford UCDS or aftermarket UCDS tool on eBay, doesn’t that have parameters for updating the odometer?

I was also just wondering, does the cluster retain the vehicle VIN # or is that stored in just the PCM?

Cluster doesn't have the VIN as far as I know.

He ordered it from his local Ford dealer. They price matched tasca but you have to pay tax. I know all here apparently haha sorry if I'm taking anyones thunder :clap2:
