I dipped the top half with black/glossifier and surprisingly it goes well with everything else in the bay... at least until I pick up a new expansion tank.

I guess there is no more dipstick, probably have to check oil level through the guage cluster.

It just scares me about how ugly it could be under it. Even if dampening the DI noise, it could have still been designed to show some of the engine.

Covers play a in integral heat management, and that cover extend over the exhaust manifolds to reduce heat.

Have you guys seen PI/DI V8 engines from other manufacturers with out a cover????
They are all ugly as sin, and loud as hell. Engine cover is the only thing that makes it bearable
good luck tuning that thing.. I expect it'll be rough for first few years.
