Thanks, this was my understanding as well. Since my car is virtually brand new I am good to go. For some others it may not be worth it but then again, I assume most 18-19 are likely in the beginning to middle of that warranty period.Just to clarify the Warranty for this 2018/19 tune - it’s the same as the previous 2015-2017 Ford Performance Tune.
The Warranty starts from the point of the Authorized Ford Install date and picks up FROM the original New Car Warranty in Service Date.
Meaning, if you’re already 10k into your 3/36, the Tune is only warrantied for 26k miles.

These numbers seem to be inline with an auto on a Mustang dyno ~25% loss. That seems low.....VERY low. 250whp is what we should be getting stock. The site says this is on 93 octane, but this looks like 87.
I thought we always assumed 15% loss from crank to wheels and then an extra 5% for automatic. It’s possible to be at 25% but you should be around 230 whp. These numbers seem to be inline with an auto on a Mustang dyno ~25% loss.
Im no expert lol but I doubt that there is a 25% loss in an auto. I've seen dyno charts of auto '16 EB making 272 hp...that will vary obviously, most range around 255-265 hp. The ones I see with 230 hp, I just assume its with 87 octane. My car pulls harder than one that weighs 3600 lbs and has only a peak hp of 230 lol....I thought we always assumed 15% loss from crank to wheels and then an extra 5% for automatic. Another forum has a post with a stock 2018 a10 dyno... 265whp.

You do not understand what a dynograph is then.
The actual numbers you get, is not the point. It is the difference in their plots/graph that matter. And, You can not compare Your dyno #'s, to my dyno #'s... they are pointless. Unless we dynographed both cars on the same day, on the same dyno..
Again, what matters is the difference in People's own dynos....baseline vs whatever.
FWIW: A 50ft-lbs gain of thrust... is just that. It does not matter the actual numbers, just the difference in those plots. If someone got 218 on one dyno and after tune, ended up with 268. Or on another dyno, with different atmospheric conditions, started with 255 and ended up with 305... they both show a 50ft-lbs of tq gain.
You don't compare the 268tq/hp of the one dyno, to the 305tq/hp of another dyno....!!
ed: Either way, this is probably part of the tune going on the more powerful 2.3l Eb rumored for next year.
Well, what do you think???Scheduled for install on the 22nd, I will make sure to report back what I think once it is completed.
You are very anxious and so am I. Sitting in the lobby of the dealership right now while it is being worked on. I promise to respond to this thread as soon as it is done and I drive it home.Well, what do you think???
Well it's 27 miles home from the dealership so everyone is going to have to wait a little while. You should wait about a hundred miles before giving any opinion on it. It takes time for the computer to set up everything with the new tune.
