Thanks for the input, AngelDeath and FordIVteam!

So, a quick update. I called Sirius again today and they resent the signal (even sent me a personal link to reset the signal whenever) but traffic still doesn't work. So I performed a factory rest on the module and tried it again. I sat in the car and saw all the apps update (movies, weather, gas stations, etc) but traffic still didn't update so I just let it be.

Tomorrow, I will try the hard reset on the module and see if that works. If not, I'll take it back to the dealer to get it re-flashed. Will update later. Wish me luck!
I agree with AngelDeath regarding the dealer if the master reset doesn't resolve the issue. Keep us posted!

So update on the issue. I did a hard reset of the whole module today and then reset the Sirius signal. Traffic updates still didn't work, everything else does.

So I called Ford in-vehicle tech services and after being on hold for 28mins, the rep basically told me, unless the Nav itself was not working, she couldn't provide any help and to call Sirius

This was becoming a finger pointing issue so I called my dealer and drove the car up there to be checked out. They took the car and after about 30 mins of working on it, they told me the couldn't fix it so they'd sent an service request to Ford to figure out what to do next. They'll get back to me on Tuesday and we'll see what happens.

P.S. Interesting thing to note is that while I was out there, I had the sales rep try out the Traffic on a new 2017 F250 also with Sync 3 and the same issue was found. All apps work except traffic. I don't know if it's just a Sync 3 problem overall or I just got a bad one.

I have a funny feeling they might change the head unit. You should have had them or you check another 17 mustang similar to yours and see if the same thing is happening on those. I'd still say disconnect the battery for 5 mins and reconnect it and see if that works.

At this point, I don't really care if the head unit is replaced. I just need it to work. I'm talking to a few mustang owners to see who else has the problem. I might also give the battery thing a shot this weekend after I clean up the car and engine bay.
