Sync 3 issue???

Last week my sync 3 touchscreen was on apple car play playing music as i was driving on the highway and all of a sudden it completely turned off to a black screen and restarted back up on it own has anyone had these issues? This is the second time it’s happened. Also would this be covered under bumper to bumper warranty or powertrain? Curious to know since my bumper to bumper will expire soon.

Sounds normal to me, the Sync systems are garbage and always had problems. My 2013 Fiesta with the Sync "My touch" (Older sync system) will force me to unplug the battery every 5-6 months due to it not connecting to my phone or playing audio. My 16 GT with Sync 3 will stop playing audio every once in a while and I have to pull the fuse.. Try a software update, they recently released one.

Your Sync 3 system can connect to your home wifi and update on its own.
