OP - just found this thread after hearing the same thing in my '17 while pulling into the garage. Louder on the passenger side. Never noticed it before (going on 4 years of ownership).

mine still does it off and on, especially after an
oil change. If I run mine out to 7 k in a couple of gears it goes away.

mine started at around 7k miles and all of my oil analyses have been clean and it does not use oil so I am running it
