Hey. So new to me 2017 GT350. 6000 kms on it. Traded my pride and joy 2010 Grandsport Vette for it...but always been a Mustang guy.

So...here's the issue. Picked up the car on Saturday. So far has started every time like normal when cold start. And when driving home on Saturday...stopped for gas, started right back up again fine. Sunday....took her out for a drive. Cold start normal. Stopped at the beach...walked around a few mins...started up normal again. Went to grocery store. In there for half hour or so. Go to start car....struggled starting...sounded like shit...took few seconds to start. Then runs totally normally.

I noticed when I used battery gauge...car off but accessories on...showed 11.6 volts. Hooked up battery tender overnight. Checked voltage today...11.4 volts. So I thought maybe battery is on its way out. Grabbed new battery. Put it in. Checked battery gauge in car...showed 11.7 volts. Figure maybe needs bit of a charge on new battery from sitting on shelf or something. Start car....no problem. Drive to gym...workout...in there for about an hour. Come out to start car....same horrible start condition....stuttering / struggling to start for 2-3 seconds...clickety clickety clack....vroom. Car drives normal as usual once started.

Have hooked up battery tender to juice up battery. But really doubting that's the issue...I mean I hope it is...but doubt it.

Anyone else had issues such as this? Any ideas?

The battery used in the GT350 has been notorious for issues maintaining a charge. It sounds as you may have a bad battery or a bad charging system. What is the voltage from the battery alone? The alternator in this car is computer controlled and varies voltage output as required. This keeps it of line to reduce parasitic loss. Has it thrown a code? Have it scanned at a local auto parts store it might not have a hard code but one pending.

Any idea if it's been tuned? Have plugged in a scanner to check for codes?
Bone stock. Haven't plugged in scanner, but no trouble lights or anything. But guess could still be a code without showing a check engine light or something?

Yeah. If you can get a scanner that digs a bit deeper than just the CEL codes, that would be good. Forscan works great. It'll record any misfires, etc. while you're running live

2017 GT350 now gone to a great home.
Check the battery(ies) with a multimeter directly. 12.6 is a full health battery. 11.6-11.7 are basically dead. That’s an SOC of 20%.

I replaced my battery a year in stock one would go dead incredibly fast.
