Ticking at idle question

Hello, I did do a bunch of searching. Seems like a lot of people are hearing piston slap, or are hearing a tick at cruising RPM. I may just be being overly paranoid, but is this usually how the car sounds under the hood? Just seems noisy to me, but maybe its totally normal? This is a new gen 2 motor with about 250 miles on it. Thanks!

Normal and those are your injectors clicking.

Okay thanks! I did notice after an oil change its louder, and gets quieter as the oil gets some mileage on it. Just seemed louder than normal to me.....but I very rarely have the hood up and listen to it running.

Put a screwdriver up against your injector and your ear against the handle. Is that the same noise you're hearing?

My 2020 sounds the same. Seems more prominent now then when new, but thats probably just me overthinking it. 6500 miles.
