Hmmmm, a random YouTube video with a Photoshopped GT350 and sound clips that could be anything.

I want to believe, but it'll take more than this to convince me ;)
It is entirely strange that his YouTube Channel is nothing but Soundclips of new automobiles.

If it was two random videos yeah... but it seems he's ether a source that can make/confirm things like that OR, just someone that is really into a hobby.

However, Torque came out with some guess work that was released around this time. Somebody is poking journalist and when you talk about engine sounds, you have to of heard something from somewhere.

thePill long ago reported that the 2017 zl1 had cooling issues. thePill also made insane claims that something would need to be done to help cool the LT4, especially in a camaro.

thePill suggested an AC delete because it's a bottom feeding car. Well, Chevy has the answer...


...Not only will the zl1 get the SS's 3 standard coolers, it seems an addional auxiliary engine cooler and differential cooler were added to the options.

OR, those items were removed and they are making you pay for them?

I think it has 4 Radiators and 2 differential coolers...

JF5 Pedals, sport alloy

XLC Launch control, custom

N26 Steering wheel, 3-spoke, sueded microfiber-wrapped, flat-bottom

V18 Cooler, engine coolant, auxiliary

KNR Cooler, rear differential

FE4 Suspension, Performance

D52 Spoiler, rear, sport

J6H Brakes, Brembo 6-piston front and 4-piston rear, performance, 4-wheel antilock, 4-wheel disc

G96 Differential, electronic limited slip (eLSD) Also for 1LE

The most important: LT4 Engine, 6.2L supercharged V8 (650 hp [485 kW], 650 lb-ft torque [881N-m]

AQJ Seats, front bucket, RECARO performance ( now available on most models)
I see Brembo's aren't standard nor are the Recaro's or engine cooler number 4 on the zl1.

Hell, why not put an AC delete up like thePill said?!?

Part of the issue is airflow in, look at the Corvette and Camaro designs and compare them with the ATS/CTS. Other than weight distribution and improved aero, why does Team Corvette wanna go Mid-engine?

To get clean, cool air into the engine to cool it...

The zl1 shouldn't need 11 total coolers man... and now YOU NEED to option cooler 4 and 2.

Dunno if people have seen it yet, but if you google Shelby GT500, it does show first hit as taking you to "www.ford.com/cars/mustang/trim/shelbygt500" titled 2017 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, but is a placeholder page.

It exists for the Boss 302 too; they seem to be leftover from the S197 era. They used to say 2015 Boss 302/GT500, then 2016 and now 2017.

All those "options" you quoted are standard in the ZL1. Brembos and all! Man you though a lot of miss information around!
