Called the Ford Service # earlier today and they said the production date is within the next two weeks, although nothing was in the system officially when I got a PM later from Deysha.

Just got my information from the always amazing Deysha. My retail order had a VIN assigned last Thursday and the car went into production on Tuesday with an EDD of September 29. Kinda special build date as it was my 2 year anniversary.

Things are moving quick! Just got a call from my dealer and have a build date of 9/21 (I hope he wasn't mistaken and meant the build week).
Expected time frame for delivery maybe early-mid October?

Just got word from Deysha and my dealer: driving mine off the lot on Monday afternoon!
Still thinking about where to drive to break it in. Lots of twisty mountain roads here that are good candidates...

3.5 HOURS of paperwork later...
No front plate, no dealership wash. I'll let it cool off a bit and do a basic wash tonight to get the transport crap off it. Then another on Sunday with a full wash/wax.

My GTwas built on 8/11, released on 8/16 and ultimately shipped some time ago. It's been sitting in Houston area lot after delivery from train for some time (?). It's going to take another week to get to my dealer about 35 miles away as per latest communication.

That really hoovers, man. Thought that's what I'd be experiencing, but my windows sticker says "CONVOY" for mine. It should cut the pain and agony for me. As an added insult for Atlanta rail shipments, a few months ago, quite a few new Mustangs were stolen out of the Norfolk Southern terminal. Hang in there!

Clutch is fucking terrible

e: The coyote is a fucking beast, and 435hp is no joke. Jesus Christ....I push the throttle, the car slightly squats and it just takes off. The seats are great, the stereo/sync3 is good, the soundtrack is addictive... 10.x mpg since delivery over 30 miles or so, and I've already kissed 100. I have no restraint with that soundtrack around. Even without the PP (which I only semi-regret, it has a lot of downsides to match the upsides), I must go do track days. Must.
