Good day fellow stangs, I hope everyone is having a great week so far, I come with a question. Has anyone experienced this I was starting my day yesterday turned the car on warmed it up for a little bit and head in to my day, all of the sudden I hear a weird humming sound from the back seat (like a wheel bearing damaged) when I got to the light the car shut down and took a couple seconds to start which is super weird, I started the car again the humming sound disappeared and the car went to drive perfectly, after about 30 miles the CEL light went on and the code P1450 appeared, this morning the same thing happened… any ideas? It’s Mustang 2016 GT I want to start checking fuel delivery system but any advices are super appreciated…

Mine made a weird humming sound just like that and it ended up being the stock fuel pump. I replaced it and the humming/ whining went away.

I have very similar symptoms in another Ford except no CEL. A thrumming wheel bearing noise and the car dies. It restarts with no issues and has yet to throw a code. It's an intermittent thing. I've been kind of expecting to have to replace the fuel pump.
I've replaced purge valves before but none ever exhibited the thrum sound. Any thoughts on that noise and how a purge valve might cause it?

I believe That code is a fuel tank vacuum issue

P4150 is extremely specific to a stuck purge valve on the evaporative emissions carbon canister. Depending on where exactly it’s located in the vehicle (mounted to the underside of the spare tire well, I think), it could be a quick, easy DIY fix. Or a colossal pain in the ass, like on my daughter’s 2020 Fusion, where the purge valve was mounted above the rear suspension. šŸ¤¦ā€ā™‚ļø

That's not exactly true. It can be caused by several things. The canister and its vent valve is certainly one. The evap purge valve (usually in the engine compartment) is another common failure along with several other things.

P1450 simply (or not so) refers to the system detecting excessive vacuum in the fuel tank.
