So I bought the GT premium ( no PP ) with this tire option.
Dealer said that it comes with a Runflat system that is housed in the spare wheel compartment. I cannot find anywhere on-line nor did the sales rep know anything about it. LOL
Topic came up when I asked for the spare 18" wheel be included in the deal which the answer was "no can do because Ford will not allow the addition to the special order when the 20" rim option is chosen "

Anyone come across this or have any info....

I have the 20" foundry wheel option as well.

These tires are not "run-flats" (which dealer btw? Colony Ford?). IF you encounter a flat tire, you have an air pump and a cartridge of "tire sealant" that you can pump to fix the hole.

If you use the "tire sealant" green goo, you will have to purchase a new TPMS in addition to the new tire.

You can't pair a spare tire with the 20" wheel option (Ford does not allow for this) but you can buy it separately. Something about the outer diameter of the 20" wheel and the outer diameter of the spare not being the same. If you put it on your rear wheel, it causes wear on your rear differential.

Planet Ford. Ya I knew that was the case with the tires and the doushe manager insisted he knew what he was talking about. I know about the rear wheel and the issue going to a smaller diameter tire in having to swap out the front to place in the rear in case of a flat and put the spare in the front. The doushe also insisted the goo stuff would not effect the tire sensor when I knew you would be having to replace the sensor as well.
I guess I'm going to buy a 18" steel rim and get a snow tire and keep it in the truck as a spare that will cover me as well in the winter. As the car is going to be an all year round daily driver for me.

Won't ever step back into that dealership or any for that matter once the car is in my possession.

I was shopping at Planet Ford as well. I walked out when the salesman tried to sell me an ecoboost on the spot when I knew I wanted to custom order a GT.

LOL....are dealership employees not unique. They play the role to a T. Straight faced and bold. I see the reps partial point being correct in that the spare tire housing compartment not being able to hold a tire. But for god sake man. I'll take out the Autozone ( Cnd. Tire ) compressor and lay it out in the truck and use the compartment for the 18" offered spare.
They just didn't want to order it on the side. Which was fine. Just say that. But don't bullsh^#* me.

Like I said...Will not go back into that building unless its a warranty issue and then still cringe at the thought of having these aliens touch my car.

BIG thanks Stripes.....

You can have warranty work done t any dealership you'd like. I know there's some in Mississauga and Brampton.

I know for a fact thew 20" option eliminates you from choosing a spare tire package. Beyond that, it's guess work.

You have Ford Roadside Assistance warranty that'll basically arrange for a tow if you need. You're better off using that instead.

Hope to see you at one of the Toronto S550 meets!
