Will there be a 2015 SVT along the other 3 models or is it slated for 2016?

Any valid info to back it up?Yes.

So, you're saying the release of the SVT is not the same as the other models? If yes, then I agree it will be a 2016 MY which probably goes to production a year from now.The info we have gotten from the site owner and people in the know is that it will be available sometime mid 2015. There's been debate about whether it will be a 2015 or 2016MY, but frankly I don't see why it matters. Bottom line is it's prolly a year away still. The order banks do show it as a 2015MY but they can really VIN it either way and I think too early to say that for sure..
My guess would be if it is the GT350, why not make it an anniversary edition? There's really nothing stopping them.
Ah interesting. Says Model Year: 15http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php/2015-mustang-options-1661.html
Check the first few screen shots.
It does but it can always change. Still a lot of time. People here have said it got pushed back and pulled back up a few times already.Ah interesting. Says Model Year: 15
Thanks!
I come from the future.Any valid info to back it up?![]()
Got you! Similar to Z06 schedule vs. the coupe. Not sure I understand your question. SVT is a separate team that builds the high performance models of the Mustang, it's separate from the "regular" Mustangs and the vehicles are on their own schedules.
That has not been the case for many years now. SVT Mustangs are all built on the same assembly line as all the other Mustangs. Engines are still had assembled and sent to the production line for install, but the SVT cars still go down the same line as base and GT cars. Not sure I understand your question. I think he was referring to engineering/design/testing etc as opposed to actual assemblyThat has not been the case for many years now. Honestly, I could careless about the "MY" designation. I just want to know when it will be in showrooms. If I go Mustang, It'll be Boosted either a TT or SC on a GT, or an SVT boosted from the factory. Much rather to have a forged engine with lower Compression than GT with cast aluminum pistons and high compression. The next SVT Mustang is scheduled right now to be released in the summer(June/July) of 2015. Most vehicles(I can not think of one that was not) released this late in the year have the Model Year connotation of the next year. Which would make it the 16 SVT Mustang. But some state clearly this is wrong.
Hell even the Feb 2010 release of the Mustang GT 5.0 was called the 2011 Mustang GT.
