You really think it might be until January...? I ordered one 2 days ago and they told me to expect 8-10 weeks. I will be pissed if I have to wait until well into the winter. I live in New York and I'm not really looking to drive this in the snow much.

I ordered in July, and I'm thinking it'll be until at least November/early December for me...

Depending on how it falls, it could be 6 months. That was not an uncommon wait time when the 05 came out.

I don't expect this one to cause that much of a stir and initial demand, but it will probably be more than 8-10 weeks. 6-10 weeks is normal wait on ordered car when demand isn't this high and 3000 dealerships aren't trying to get their allotment plus special orders all before winter.

My car officially has a VIN! Checked and saw my scheduled-to week is October 6th! My suggestion for people who might want their car earlier is to see if their dealer can order it as stock, I ordered mine on August 29th and they put it on the schedule today.

What kind of model (and options did you order)?

I ordered July 28th, Ecoboost premium, 50th Ann. appearance & PP. Retail stock, priority 19.

My dealer insisted that retail orders get priority over stock when I asked about changing mine to stock.

No connections regarding priority, I guess I just got lucky. Even employees can't do anything about orders except wait haha.

I ordered an EcoBoost Premium 201A with Performance Pack, adaptive cruise and security package (should be in my signature). My dealer was really nice and used one of their allocations on me and I believe Retail orders aren't being built out until OK to buy and even then I'm pretty sure some of the stock allocations are still being built out so dealers have something on the lot.

Placed my order yesterday:

GT, manual, magnetic, ebony interior. Couldn't find a dealer anywhere nearby selling this without tons of options I didn't want. Now comes the long, but exciting wait!
