I wish i could view my vehicle. I ordered mine July 7th, and my dealer printed me my confirmation, but my order number is X001, and it gives me nothing on Cotus. I then called ford support, and they told me that under the order code X001, there were multiple ford vehicles, not just mine, so that meant that my dealership used a generic order code, and mine should be given a legit order number soon enough. But I don't know how i will ever know that new order number without pestering the living shit out of my dealership.
If I plug in my order # and dealer code it shows a 2015 Super Duty F250 if that makes you feel any better. haha.

Just ordered my car yesterday (Labor Day). They informed me it could be 16 weeks away or futher. I will consider myself lucky if I get mine before the end of the year.
Speaking for all of those that ordered end of May...We will be lucky if we get ours before the end of the year:frusty:

Although, until you get a VIN, all cotus will tell you is it's in order processing. It's not super exciting.[/QUOTE]

Can't you only get your VIN from your dealer once your car has started to be built?

You can use cotus with either the order number/dealer code or the vin. If you have the order number/dealer code, it will show your VIN once it's scheduled not being built. I've had a VIN for a while now, but it's not going to be built for a couple more weeks.

So technically, you can get your VIN through cotus, but your dealer may have access to it slightly sooner.

I just ordered mine on August 29th, and my dealer put in a stock order for mine. Does that mean mine might get produced earlier than the retail(special) orders since the dealer used one of their allocations on me? I need the car before the end of November since I'll need a car once my dad's lease is up and he buys my current car.

Yes, the dealer explained to me if they give you one of their dealer stock then you'll get yours before special order cars.

While that has been true, since only stock orders have been scheduled to date, I'm not so sure if that's going to remain true in the near future. Scheduling of retail orders is supposed to be starting next week. If a dealer has outstanding stock orders it seems possible some retail orders could jump ahead of stock orders. From what was said a while back, it's actually more common for retail orders to be run prior to stock orders under normal circumstances. Which also seems to coincide with retail orders having a lower priority number than stock orders (lower number is higher priority). It's just Job 1 that was apparently open to stock only orders.

Thursday is when scheduling is done, so next Thursday should see the next set of cars getting build weeks and VINs. Not sure if they're planning on scheduling more than a week at a time though, but I'd guess they probably will now that the plant is running at a steady state (or seems to be) and scheduling has been closed down for a while now.

So basically I might be screwed into waiting 16 weeks for my car now, which would possibly rule out getting the car altogether. Crap :frusty:

Hopefully that's not the case for you.

One thing you could also do is that now that stock inventory is showing up on Ford's site, you may be able to find one there that is unspoken for and get one of those. It may not be exactly what you want, but it may allow you to get it by the date you're looking for.

It's at least an option to take into account.

I wouldn't expect to get those for super cheap though, probably MSRP unless you get lucky. That will totally depend on the dealer.

I get A-Plan (Ford employee :ford:) and I don't think dealers can reject a-plan can they?

That's a good question. Not sure if they'd take a stock order and give you A plan when they were expecting to make some good money on selling it to the public. If you find out, pass that on, I'm curious to know.

But regardless I ... :hail:
