In Italy on the other hand, it's the exact opposite, the government is a complete circus (an extremely inefficient and corrupt one at that), pissing away the tax dollars. So yeah, here I would much prefer the US way of doings things

Spend sometime in America, come pay my taxes and see what a Circus is, better yet talk to my friends that spent time in our Middle East adventures.

Ah I see, I mean the Audi, BMW and Mercedes are not by any stretch cheap here but obviously the importation of them is a lot easier.
Frankly I'd love to be able to go all out and just get the GT, that's really what I would prefer. However due to the various economical obstacles I mentioned earlier it just becomes too expensive, for me anyway.

Fuel economy is important for everyone, but it becomes more pronounced here seeing as our gas prices are quite high, I'm hoping nothing got lost in translation, but I have to pay 8.30$ a gallon for regular (Translated from 1.70€ a liter).

I am reading mostly because most is off-topic. Going back to the mpg, I did read at the Ford Germany website for the EcoBoost 8.6 liters / 100 km what would bring the mpg to 27 combined. Here it says 25 combined? The GT 13.8 liters / 100 km's, rated the same here in North America and Germany. So the EcoBoost would be your best choice for the Mustang.

Anyway back on topic! I've got some contacts within a local ford dealer here, I've been trying to stress them for some info, I really hope I'll be able to get some info on both the official KM/L ratings, Euro Ratings, price tags and what models and packages will be available to us!

If I manage to get any info on it I'll be sure to post it!

I also think octane will play a factor. I used midgrade in my F150 while on vacation, then went to premium, and saw an ncrease in 1 mile per gallon, with 4 adults, and a fully loaded bed. It also has a fiberglas toneau cover. Al that plays into the figures.

There's an important difference in your statement. Germany vs United States. US EPA testing is not New European Driving Cycle (NEDC) testing, different numbers after conversion are to be expected, no?

Note that importing cars into Europe also adds around 10% import tax and your local VAT, which is around 20% in most European countries. And don't forget emission taxes, they can be quite hefty. In the Netherlands the EB model will be looking at around 20k EUR in taxes added to that price. Other Countries won't be so bad though, but still.
