Just saw a preview of the Chicago auto show on my local ABC. It looks like those of us attending will see tripple yellow. I cant wait!

I'm going Sunday, I hope they have the magnetic convertible there as well!

Just uploaded a video and pictures in the Ignot Silver thread.
Thank you! It looks fantastic.

Any other impressions of the car? Bigger/smaller than expected? What did you like/dislike?

It looks like you got access to the interior?

Chicago auto show very disappointed in Ford

Iv been waiting to see this all new mustang in person and today was the opening day for the Chicago auto show. I went to ford and they only had ONE 2015 mustang. It was a GT but in yellow with black rims. I'm not a fan of yellow but I did not like this car in this color. The back end I'm not sure I like either. I like the old fast back. But not this new one. I though this car was going to pop out at me.I do like the new interior its very nice looking. I'm sure driving it would make a ddifference to. So now I think I'm going to buy a 2014 GT and get a great deal on one and let this new body style grow on me for my next mustang. I really wanted to see a guard or deep impact blue GT hope when I do it'll change my mine. :frusty:

Wow, that is indeed disappointing. Largest auto show in the country, and it gets one Mustang? I can only hope they will be bringing in a couple more as the show gets rolling.

I generally can't stand yellow cars, and I don't think it looks particularly flattering on this design either.

Oh well, better than nothing I guess. I still go every year as I enjoy the whole show and not just Ford's cars, but I was very excited to see the S550 this year and this news has dropped my enthusiasm a bit.

I'm going during the week and will be disappointed if that's the only S550 that's there. Don't like yellow at all and especially not on this design.

Sorry you didn't like it everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But keep in mind there are several shows going on simultaneously or in close proximity. It's not practical for Ford to ship several cars to one location. I plan to visit the show early Monday to avoid the crowds.

The Chicago show is the largest and oldest auto show in North America, and over a million people go through the turnstiles each year. They should have more than one car there.

The Detroit show may have the extra prestige for the Big 3, but this is the premier show in N. America in terms of actual visitors. If Detroit can have multiple cars, then this show certainly deserves multiple cars.

I'm hoping there's one at Philly this week, but I'm not holding my breath. They had the 2010 there when it first came out, but it was on a dais and roped off. Bitches.

You're going to be happy. I was looking at another forum, and they had pics of one at Philly. It was a Guard EB 2.3 with 19 in wheels.

Not trying to get into a pissing match.....I'm just saying there are just a few cars in existence. Ford has to cover a lot of ground with what's available. Why would they have multiple cars at one central location when they could have several cars spread across multiple locations. In respect to the Chicago show being the largest, you are correct but the Detroit show was the first major show after the unveiling and it's still the grand daddy of all shows held in the manufacturers own backyard. We should be fortunate to have seen so many colors before production anyhow. The 2005 pre-production model was only shown in one color (not even a production color at that) and there was one car at every show. :ford: okay I'm done blowing Ford for now.
