I tried to buy the same car at Tropical. Actually tried to buy the grey one they have first, them got on the DIB one. Their final offer was 37.9k out the door (including 7% tax, dealer fees, etc - with the 0% for 72 months Ford financing). I didn't feel like it was a good deal for the same reasons others have noted here, so I walked. Don Reid Ford has a 2015 as well, and they'll sell it for invoice. Ford of Clermont never returned any emails asking about their 2015s.

None of the dealers here felt that the age of the car warranted any discounts below invoice.

Still has significant diminished value. The second he drives it off the lot it's instantly a 3 year old, used car (with ultra low miles). No one gives a crap about the in-service date except for warranty.
Didnt say it was worth $35, just pointing out its still a new car. It's a good deal at some amount.

That is a highly optioned Prem 2015. Toss up man. I have seen 2016 PP Prem stangs for $35k new after rebates.

No test drive?
Apparently they do not want to sell you a car?
highly optioned? its not that highly optioned, hell I paid $38k otd for my 2016 that has more options than this particular car, theyre drunk, keep looking!

That's just crazy, you can get one for less than invoice that just hit the lot. I ordered mine & paid under invoice - tell them to pound sand !

If you like the car..buy it. A few grand over time won't matter. If it's not exactly the car you want...don't buy it. It's that simple.

Leather, SYNC ect..It's not a base car for 2015 base car money. Still over priced, yes, some.

Mine was $37,400 OTD..and?

I told the sales guy I was comparing it to a Camaro, and he told me to go test drive it first then come back.

So I went and test drove their Z28 and drove it to their Ford lot and said to the sales guy he made the best recommendation ever, in front of his sales crew.

Then went to another Ford dealer and got my car. I hate it when they think I don't have the knowledge about the car. It's the internet age, the only thing I haven't seen or known is the actual feel.

I first drove in with my Mercedes in ugly flip flops, so they know I'm filthy rich. (Or I'm just super lazy on my days off)

It's a Mustang, not a Ferrari, I wouldn't give that dealer the time of day.
Pretty much this.

November 14' I stopped by the dealer when I was bored and told a salesman I wasn't really in the market, didn't want to waste his time but wanted to see if they had a 15' Gt PP I could sit in and check it out. I told him I was really in the market for a 1le camaro in about 6 months to a year and he went out opened a car on the lot and brought a plate for a test drive. I said I really didn't want to get their car salty or drive it though the snow which he replied "that's why we have porters" he went inside and I ended up test driving it by myself.

I ended up driving 2 more mustangs before I bought one. Once with my wife and once with a friend. All times were solo with no salesman.

I think it really depends on the dealers location and their policies. I drove a 16 camaro ss right before I bought the mustang and the salesman had to go with us. It was a policy. It was also 1 of 2 they had and the only one not in the showroom. I didn't mind at all (salesman was a college buddy of mine) but you better believe if I'm test driving with my wife or someone else the salesman is sitting in the back.

When I was in my early 20s when the Subaru sti came out in 04' I was getting a $10 part for my car and the dealership owner tossed me the keys to their demo Sti. I told him thanks but i couldn't afford one. He said it didn't matter and to watch out for the speed trap down the road. My family has bought 3 subarus from that dealer since.

I really don't understand why dealers would refuse a test drive to anyone. I can see it on a something like a gt350 or zo6 or something, but a mustang is a pretty normal car.

Seriously overpriced. Did you through a number at them to see what they would take? I mean it is a '15 GT premium with little to no options.
You could get a nicely loaded '16 from a few grand more.

Should be easily get $6000 below MSRP on a brand new car let alone a 2 year old car.

way overpriced IMO. I got 36.5 ish OTD a year ago on a 15 gt premium pp. I'd think it would be a good deal on a 16 though.

That's way high considering it's now 2 model years old. Hell I paid right at $36K for my Premium GT with the Performance Package and that was in January of '15. Better deals to be had elsewhere for sure.
