Two days ago I saw this misaligned hood on a new GT on the dealers front line display in central Florida. The hood and fender were so close you could not get a business card between them. The paint was chipped and would need a touch up. The door and fender panels looked to be OK, but I couldn't open the door to check. My car is being built this week.......hope they have figured out how to assemble the car by now

Yeah I really hope Flat Rock figured things out with these alignment issues.

for what its worth, this car might've been built during their December disaster...cars after that were greatly improved in the fitment quality from what ive seen.

Standard issue.........among many

Before the yahoos jump in saying the alignment issues don't exists--I've been in a (driven around in or driving) Fords since before 50% of you were born, my family only bought Fords and I've bought some 15-20 NEW Fords in my lifetime.

I have never seen 1st year problems like this* and they are not getting better (although the current Ford builds are still levels above the world record holder of crap- 1968 Corvette). Combination to "too fast" of a line speed and extensive computer controlled robots that appear not to be sensitive enough to deal with new generation panels that are highly flexible.

Besides my 2015 LE I'm trying to buy a 2015 Ecoboost for a daily driver and I've walked lots from Marysville to Fresno in Northern California. I've examined over 100 new Mustangs (including recent builds) and a "great car" with all panels aligned is damn hard to find.

I brought my 2015 GT in today for what I considered major fitment issues in the trunk lid, rear panel and bumper area. I could see through the gaps on my bumper into the guts of the bumper. The trunk lid was crooked, nearly rubbing, etc. I would consider myself more tolerant of QC issues like these, but this was borderline ridiculous, I am fortunate to have purchased from the largest Ford dealer In the state with a large service area and it's own offsite auto body. I spoke to the sales manager amd explained that I wanted them on my side, helping me resolve this issue. He left me to sip countless cups of coffee while he got on the phone. Next thing I know an SUV with half to auto body team showed up, including their paint and body techs. The shop manager looked at it and said "I can fix this". 4 hours later it was perfect. I am relieved. In those 4 hours I walked the lot and can say out of 20 plus mustangs, all had really bad gaps and alignment. I asked the body manager and he said that they cannot afford to devote 4 hours to every mustang off the truck so they only address the issues that customers bring back to be fixed.

I'm taking delivery tomorrow and I was all over mine this afternoon and its 100%. Doors, hood, trunk, rear window all straight and true. My car is a job 3 car and I think they have it worked out now. That said, the earlier cars have some amazing alignment issues that should never have been released, in my opinion.

That hood fender issue is an easy fix. Loosen the bolt securing the fender in the front and pull it out a hair then tighten the bolt if the paint isn't rubbed it's a 5 minute fix. My dealer did the fix to my car and it's now fine.

Mustangs have been built at the Flat Rock Plant for many years now, the S197 series seemed to be of good quality control, and the S550 looks like shit as far as the body panels and other malfunctions goes, what happened to the Mustangs Q/C and Fords pride in the Mustang for 2015?????????

This cars didn't had a accident. They got released like that - but look like they did fall of a truck.

Looking for 2015 V6 (051A)
I was about to pull the trigger and buy a new Stang last weekend until I noticed the passenger door and front fender alignment was off. they rubbed when opening the door. Very disappointing!
