At start up my car is intermittently throwing a passenger airbag light off with the airbag light on the gauge. There is no consistency for when it fails (empty seat, items on seat, passenger of weight x or y), when it fails on start the light remains on for the whole duration even if someone sits down.
When the car starts with no light, the sensor performs as intended.
The code is passenger seat occupant classification sensor A.
The car is a 2015 mustang gt performance package with less than 40k miles. Has anyone seen this before? I took it to the dealer and they reset the system, and then couldn’t recreate it, but it came back a few days later. Just trying to get more info before bringing it back in.

Could be a sensor in the seat is acting flaky, or could be an intermittent bad wire or connector. Did the dealer use the "sensor A" trouble code to track down what would cause that instead of just resetting the system?
