Yeah, pretty easy for my application. Popped the air bag off, and changing the switches was simple with only a couple of torx screws to remove. Didn't have to remove the steering wheel and didn't have to cut any panels.

It was very easy to do, only took me about 30 minutes. Only thing I'm waiting on is programming it with forscan. You have to make an account on the forums to generate a key to unlock the full settings on forscan. I'm currently waiting for them to activate my account.
Yeah, pretty simple on my 2018 mustang. Im sure its more time consuming on your 2016 though. It worked, just a few errors popped up and its very limited. I've been trying to program it with forscan, but I can't get it to write anything in the IPC. I'll mess with it some more later today.

I have a 2018 too... Do you have to remove all of the dash trim?
It has the drive modes configured in the dash, but if you were to select it, you would get an error saying that it is not available. I did the swap with my base 17 GT and tried switching drive modes just to see what it did, and I couldn't get anything to actually change.
Hmm.. I'm wondering if drive modes are available in the sync3 display upgrade only then? I'll ask in that other thread.
