I'm still waiting fornsomeonento shownme anything from Ford prior to the owners supplement that excludes the car from the track.

Or something that says track package required for track use.

Naming the car Shelby GT350 and advertising the racing history of that name plate shows that Ford implied that any car that they put the GT350 name on was meant for tracking.

And Epiphany I gave you a link. Thanks for ignoring information that doesn't support your argument.
Most(99%)cars are not guaranteed to work on the track, they are guaranteed to only work on the street.

When they offer a Track Package and someone decides to not get it and then immediately goes on the Track and overheats that on the consumer.

I understand that some of you thought that you could track a car for X amount of time and you would be fine. But that assumes that the car is literally overheating and takes until X amount of time to get critical. From a engineering point of view that doesn't make any sense.

So troll that I am it seemed like it would be a reasonable approach to try to get Ford in good faith to provide a solution that was backed with a warranty. Instead you have people saying they were mislead, threatening law suits, and bashing the car designed by the people you now want to help you in good faith.

You literally 6 months ago could of got the parts list together for the swap and sent it to FP and said can you guys make this a bundle so we can get it at a discount.

As many of you have said Ford is reading this thread.

I have mentioned this numerous times I think this is a car by car situation since I have personally seen, known and experienced limp mode on all gt350 models.

I have a base and it is mechanically STRONG and PERFORMS with NO Limp mode on the track. Fit, finish and look another story. Yet as of today I know of 1 R sold with these issues and 2 track packs as well. What were the excuses with these supposed extreme high performance track vehicles? We are a very very small sampling of the gt350 issues across the board. I also met a guy with a 17 Lightning blue who went to Elkhart lake and guess what? Limp mode by what he told me. His words were car was running like a raped ape and on 4th lap running 2nd and 3rd gear running constantly over 7000rpms and then all of the sudden it was like he went from a sports car to a bus. his words. He was not happy and I did not want to piss him off anymore than he was so I kept my mouth shut.

That is what I mean. There are a lot of very unhappy gt350 owners no matter what and here is my take on this.

My dealership sold and delivered so far 1 2015, 4 2016 and 3 2017 gt350 allocations. Mine was their second gt350 delivered. This is per dealer and now I know why no one wants to help us.
My car came in for warranty, service, issues etch in April, 2016. Per dealer the first 4 cars before me had weird issues? 2 transmissions replaced or being replaced, 1 engine failure and 1 with fit and finish issues the car got replaced by ford. So if this is true across the board and put in the other 7 guys I know with issues outside of this with 2 guys being taken care of and the others in holding pattern or moving on it tells us something? What? Maybe Ford spent all their allotted warranty money to fix some of these cars and now the rest of us holding the bag? Don't know but just seems like it. I just don't like being mistreated and having ford tell me I'm on my own with this gt350. Also I have this on a voice mail and trying to figure out how to post it on the forum.

Is Ford watching. Yes. But they will not return any calls or messages I have left. Just a great business model? Ignore the customer and maybe they will go away?

Also look at any negative posts from January til may or so and you read bad things happened but things got fixed quickly. Now it seems everything is stagnant on warranty repairs, cooler situation and more. My opinion.
Ford is probably done with the GT350 on to the next thing from a marketing POV.

Let me ask you a question are any of these issues unique to the GT350 or are these typical FORD issues? I mean the fit and finish I assume are common?

Agreed! The last nice rep from ford who could not really go over the zone rep was nice and honest. She was also a gt350 owner. She told me to keep the car and hold on to it. She also acknowledged at least 30% of these cars have already been destroyed or are gone for one reason or another. I have 1 of 44 base cars made and who knows how many left? She really said the smart move was to keep it. Car is no longer made and motor gone. Since that conversation I have not tried to kill the car and just try to enjoy it. If the dealer doesn't make good or not a reasonable resolution in sight the lawyer is already on dealers GM speed dial with a nice piece of paper to send. Same with ford.

Just didn't want this to happen. Just wanted an acceptable vehicle that I paid for. Just don't understand how these cars have so many varied issues?

I just went back three pages and looked at each of your posts. Before accusing me of ignoring a link, at least provide me with one so I can then ignore it.

Generally, price does not = flawlessness. Agreed there should not be this many issues with a mass produced vehicle but that being said, i work/worked on $1mil tooling equipment to $40mil aircraft. Never would I think something that cost so much would be so finicky, but they were. Higher the performance the higher the chance of failure. Paint is inexcusable these days with the technology available.

It is difficult to find useful information with all the pointless banter...

Has anyone actually purchased the $2700 tranny and cooler bits? Has anyone inquired with a dealership what the cost would be to install? Are other dealers honoring the $2700 price?

I'm planning to get my Tech 350 fixed, one way or the other. I thought this thread was about solutions.

Simply put! Ford is a huge let down on the 2016 GT350. It is what it is , a peace of shit track performer. Ford dropped the ball big time!

What's the point when Ford will void the warranty. They really stand behind their products! LMFAO.
And I wont give them another dime to make this car track capable. I'll trade before I do that.
Maybe a track pack grand sport.

I know of at least one individual that purchased the transmission at the $2,700 price, within 24 hrs of it becoming available from FR. Cooler bits from FR should be available soon. I'm about 100% sure that you won't find one of these transmissions being sold by a dealer's parts department at this price (excluding large volume online dealers). Your average mom and pop dealer is going to want more.

The solutions offered from FR have been discussed for some time now.

That is funny, thx.

That's what I'm talking about, the hardware from FR. The Track Pack/R version of the TR3160 looks to be the first part to be listed and available. The cooler kit now listed isn't ready yet but should be available very soon.

I'm just skeptical. I've been hearing coming soon for a long time. If the owners manual hadn't teased be saying that coolers can be added, I wouldn't be so upset. The wording implied that it was just something you could go buy at the dealer, like I did with the track pack spoiler. The spoiler that was reduced in price $1500 after I bought one.
