Hey, I love my mustang, bought it 2 weeks ago. I truly love this car. Even bought the extended warranty because i thought this could be a car that i would want for more than 5 years. I've encountered 3 issues into the ownership of the car. The front bumper on the driver side has a "pin" that clicks the front bumper onto the driver sides quarter panel. My cooling seats are not working, and my transmission makes a clanking metal sound when changing gears. If this car didnt have any issues this would be my favorite car that ive ever had, however these issues take away some of the excitement of owning it. Ford's lucky they atleast built a hell of a car. I just expected a little bit more from them in terms of quality.
yalls thoughts?

The bumpers on these cars attach via a bracket system; there are tabs on each side of the bumper itself that locks into these brackets. Not sure what you mean by a "pin"... When you say quarter panel, do you actually mean the fenders?

Define a clanking metal sound?

The drive-train on these cars are inherently noisy due to having a lot of slack. (overall design) Unless your transmission is making a loud unnerving racket both in & out of gear or while driving, noises are normal.

Hey rvlyssup,
Sorry about the "pin" i def meant like some kind of clip like connection. and yeah i meant front fenders. It has clearly been a "hump day" for me : doh:
And that clanking noise is definately not a normal noise in my opinion. sounds almost like if someone hit to large metal objects against eachother. just really odd. i am going to have to look at that thread for the cooling seats.

Thank you for your help!

have you gone to the Dealer yet? one or two people on here had gotten warranty work on the transmission, Your's they probably will just order you a new box and you'll be good to go. Get the paper trail started. I test drove 2 manuals and an auto and heard nothing like that.

You never said auto or manual? If manual, well they seem to have lots of possible issues. If auto, you problem may be this...
