This is a major problem for some of us, and a thread here dedicated to it. The good news is, Ford is aware and a fix/TSB is in progress. :)

On a not-quite-related note...I usually watch the mpg and not the odometer so much...but 2 weeks ago I happened to notice a milestone of sorts and pulled off the road to get this shot :p
Thanks for the update on the brake issue. I remember seeing a thread about it on M6G a few weeks ago but haven't had time to keep up with it.

Cool photo!

So, you really went to the dealer to buy a Focus and ended up buying a Mustang GT Premium? That's amazing ...congrats!!

You're very welcome. Thanks for the comment! I see you're currently driving a 2013 Scion FR-S. Those are cool cars. What made you choose the 2015 Mustang? The V8? Styling? Other?

Good luck on your order.

Sitting at 4300 miles. There is a metallic rattling on cold starts. Seems as if it's coming from under the center of the car. It goes away once the idle cycle is complete/ I drive away/warmed up. This is usually in high 20s low 30s weather. Hoping it's just a heat shield rattle of some sort. Will try to get a video of it.

Other than that, zero complaints. Everything is working as it should.
I started hearing a rattle noise on cold starts also and its driving me crazy

It is true. It happened within a whirlwind 10 days. Long story short: Jeep was in the shop, so I rented a car: a new '14 Focus, not even the correct-sized car I asked for because they ran out. :paddle: Hated the hideous thing at first, then *had to have one* after a couple days. Jeep needed another week so I happily extended the Focus rental. Found a dealer I clicked with online who could secure the one I wanted from another dealership, for a $200 deposit. Asked honey to "test-drive" the rental Focus to said dealership 25 mins north so I could drop off the deposit. Honey tried it, groaned, asked me 'Why don't you just get one of *these*?' and showed me a pic of the Mustang on the phone. The thought had never before crossed my mind. After a couple more days, we finally got the stupid Jeep back after $2139 in repairs, sold it 5 days later, bought this Stang by the end of the same day locally (after test-driving the exact one just for laughs 2 days prior). The person who special ordered it had rejected it for the fancy showcased PP 50 on the lot instead earlier in the week. I was told he literally flipped a coin because he couldn't decide between the two. :clap2:

OK...the story was kinda long, but I get a kick outta telling it.:p

I get so tickled reading about the guys poking fun about getting 'wifey's approval' to buy their new rides...it was the opposite for me. :D And it isn't what you may think, because he rarely drives; though he'll occasionally take it out to play in the middle of the night. Not that changing my mind was a huge arm twist. (Then there was the "We should get the '14' then, because of all the holiday/year end finance incentives..." I lost that one, too.:p)

I have a video of it very clearly, will post once home.

It seems to be coming from under the exhaust.

I have the same issue with squeeling brakes. What's the solution for that? It seems to happen randomly.

Thought I'd check in with my fellow Mustang6G friends at the 2,610 mark on the odometer and let you know how we're doing.

In a word: Fantastic. I've only had one problem - the passenger seat. The magnetic button used by the leather seat belt retainer fell off from the seat back due to it either not being installed correctly at the factory or someone accidentally pulling it too hard when trying to get into the back seat. It's a dumb design, in my opinion. I did the repair myself. See photo below.
I sort of predicted this http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showpost.php?p=366148&postcount=9

But it's under warranty and you were able to fix it yourself, so good job.
I like the big strong hefty seat belt guides that come with the convertible seats

Thanks for the link MagneticMan. I with you, I prefer the big hefty guides. None of my previous Mustangs had or offered seats with leather belt guides attached to a magnet like on the 2015s. I foresee Ford changing this design soon by either eliminating the leather strap or strengthening it. It just doesn't seem very durable to me.

I'm glad you were able to avoid an accident!

I know what you mean regarding notching shifting. Based on my experience over the past 40 years, it's not unusual for manuals to have notchy shifting depending on how cold it is. Yes, mine has some "notchiness" in very cold weather, but I didn't count that as an issue because I expected it.
Damned if it didn't happen again to me today. On my way to work, I'm in the right hand lane and cars in front of me are turning right. I go straight through the light and some little bimbo bitch from the women's dorm coming out of the parking garage starts to pull right out in front of me. Another brake lock down and horn session followed up with some choice words and some animated hand gestures. I hope she's taking a lip reading class here. 'Cause I sure want her to hear the ass chewing I gave her this morning!
On a happy note, I remembered the clutch this time!
FWIW, My '95 GT convertible was totaled out due to women drivers too. So yea, I'm a little biased right now.

That's funny...my wife went to the dealer with me on Saturday to check on my order...she drove home in this!
