Hello all!
I am new here but a long time browser. I've searched around and haven't found a thread that seems to apply here.
I have a 22 mustang ecoboost with the mt82 manual. It runs great, but im getting a p0300 code popping up pretty frequently, and it only happens on start up. You can feel the little misfire, but the second you take it off idle its perfect. It doesnt seem to matter if the engine is hot or cold or if i just filled up with gas or not it will still throw a code.
I can clear it and it will be gone for a few weeks then it will come back. Strangely its only the p0300. Nothing else. No code tying the issue to a particular cylinder. I've changed all plugs as of 2 weeks ago and it still does it. I will say plugs seem to have more carbon than I would think they should have, but I'm coming from the diesel world where spark plugs didn't exist. Since I don't have any other codes I don't think it would be a coil pack dying but I could be wrong. I haven't changed the battery from the factory, but I don't have any battery related symptoms that I can tell. Ford did the recall for the low side fuel issue, but I'm not sure if that sensor was changed during that. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue, I'd rather not just throw parts at it until something sticks. Ford couldn't find the source and just recommend throwing plugs at it when they looked.
