Wow! Thanks for all your hard work.I wish you the best of luck and hope it all pays off. You mentioned that because the drain, fill and temperature sensor are all in close proximity that the fluid may not circulate the transmission as well and that the cool fluid(returning from the cooler) could flow in a loop tricking the temperature sensor into thinking the transmission is running below the 275 degree limp mode trigger temp.Do you have an additional temp sensor for the transmission should this scenario occur?

Thanks for tackling this!

Was there anything tricky with wiring the pump and installing the switch?

No I do not but, I do plan to use a pyrometer to at least see if there is a huge temp difference between the front, and back of the trans.

Not at all.

Ground the pump... Positive wire from pump to switch in cockpit... From switch to battery with 10amp fuse...

So for less than $750, you have a cooling system, very well done.
I am sure not all could do it themselves but materials are quite reasonable.
How long did it take you to do it?

How noisy is the pump that you selected?
I have seen some of these gear pumps that are very loud.

I've used that pump before for trans and diff coolers in a z06. Very noisy and not the most reliable. But hot oil fluid pumps aren't easy to find. Here's a link someone shared for a pump I like and will use in the future. http://www.rbracing-rsr.com/oilsystems.htm

Nice work tackling the install. Thanks for sharing.

That Mocal pump is a diaphragm pump. You should consider putting it after the cooler to help it live a longer life.

I use the standard pump from RBR on my galaxie for the trans. I use the small for the differential.

They are both quieter than my fuel pump :-).

I'm giving the ford performance crew till late june to make some mention of an update, if we dont hear anything, I'm going to put together setups for my car.

I'm interested to see what kind of effect this has on the car. looking forward to feedback.

I did. The hot fluid flows through the cooler first, then the pump.

How much extra fluid capacity is there with the cooler and lines in place? That alone will help with track time. If the system works as designed you shouldn't have any problems. Looking forward to an update!

Maybe I missed it, but is there a reason why you didn't use the factory radiator? Is this one bigger?

Just got a chance to do a little testing on the street and I'm confident this is going to work really well.
